Meet Kieva Hranchuk, PhD

With a doctorate in behaviour analysis, she spent nearly two decades

understanding what it actually takes to move a human being forward.

Without pressure or manipulation. But in a way that feels safe, aligned and genuinely their own choice. This work changed how she approaches sales entirely.

It started long before business.

My career began in therapy rooms, not boardrooms.

For years, I’ve worked with children with autism and other disabilities who had every reason not to trust the next adult who walked in with a clipboard and an agenda. My job was to help them learn and shape their behavior. What I discovered early on was that the science didn't work if the relationship didn't come first.

You cannot convince someone to move forward by applying the right technique at the right moment. You move them by making them feel safe and understood. That insight never left me.

The relationship between a therapist and a client looks remarkably similar to the relationship between a seller and a buyer. In both cases, you're asking someone to make a change that will improve their life. And in both cases, the difference between a yes and a no has almost nothing to do with the quality of your offer and everything to do with the conditions surrounding it.

The Science is Real

  • Dr. Kieva holds a PhD in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Columbia University, where she studied how context, motivation, and consequences shape human action. She continues that research today as an Assistant Professor of Applied Disability Studies at Brock University where her work explores why people do or don't act, and how systems can be designed to improve decision outcomes.
